WELCOMING ERASMUS+ STUDENTS FROM TÜRKIYE

In May 2026, our school proudly welcomed a group of students and teachers from Türkiye as part of the Erasmus+ Learning Programme for Group Activities – Group Mobility of School Pupils. As an active participant in the Erasmus+ programme, we are committed to promoting international cooperation, cultural exchange, and high-quality education through meaningful partnerships across Europe.

During their visit, our guests explored our school, became familiar with our learning environment, and took part in collaborative lessons and interactive classroom activities alongside our students. The programme provided an excellent opportunity for young people from different countries to learn together, exchange ideas, and build lasting international friendships.

One of the highlights of the visit was a presentation prepared by our 11th-grade students, who introduced both Lithuania—the country that has become a second home for many of our school community—and Ukraine, the country that remains close to our hearts. Through this presentation, students shared the history, culture, traditions, and values of both nations, encouraging meaningful dialogue and mutual understanding.

Throughout the exchange, participants discussed cultural traditions, educational experiences, and innovative teaching approaches. Special attention was given to STEM education, CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) methodologies, and the development of communication skills in English through collaborative learning activities.

For our students, the mobility programme was much more than an opportunity to practise a foreign language. It was a chance to become part of a wider European community, broaden their horizons, strengthen their intercultural competence, and create friendships that extend beyond national borders.

We sincerely thank the Erasmus+ programme and our partner school from Türkiye for making this inspiring exchange possible. Experiences like these encourage young people to become open-minded, confident, and active global citizens while building international connections that will continue to inspire them for years to come.
